There is not a "one size fits all" investment strategy. The market depends on the fact that everyone follows their own strategy. There are day-traders (not recommended) that look for short term profits. There are 401k funds that look for stable growth. There are growth investors that look for companies with large potential and are willing to be right on 40% of their stock picks, and quickly cut their losses on the other 60%. There are investors that follow a Warren Buffet value strategy.

experienced investors. Many of
these are available at your local library, or can be obtained for free through
