- Major new features and bug fixes are included in this beta
- Major New Features
- The Navigator window is now tabbed so that different WatchLists are
shown in different tabs.
- An Industry List tab is included to provide a quick overview of industry
groups.
- A Favorites tab is included. Select any Watchlists, SmartWatchList,
etc and mark it with a Favorite category on the Navigator window, and then
it will show up on the Favorites tab.
- A Filter setting is added. This is a very powerful feature.
Click one or more WatchLists or Smart WatchLists, and all other WatchLists
are filtered by only included symbols that are also in the selected filters.
Use this to quickly create new Smart WatchLists on the fly. For
example, click on a Smart WatchList labeled as ">13 Day" and "> 50-Day" to
find stocks that satisfy both conditions.
- The Chart View is now tabbed. The "Extra Info" tab show a table of
the earnings history. The "Safari" tab provides instant access to
information for the symbol on a specify website. The "Unused" tabs
will be configured for additional websites. Please suggest other uses
also.
- International symbols are now supported. Enter symbols in the
format used by Yahoo Finance.
- Bug fixes
- A couple of problems were found that caused random crashes.
Additional code was added to report future bugs in the Debug.txt file.
- Historical data was not saved correctly at all times in previous
versions. This will self-correct during your next update if
needed.

New Features
- A summary of the 13, 50, and 200 day moving averages are now displayed
on the Navigator Window. These are color coded to provide an overview of
the indexes and watchlists.
- Downloads were made more efficient. You should see an
improvement on the 2nd day of downloads after all of the information is updated
on the first day.
Bug Fixes
- Leopard compatibility was tested with one problem fixed. The
program would crash when the Chart view was opened.
- A problem was found the impacts Macintoshes using an Intel Duo chip
using OS X 10.4.
This problem caused a long error message within a minute after starting the
program. You may get one error message the FIRST time you launch this
update, but it should self correct and you should NOT receive this error message
on the SECOND launch.
- The website containing Earnings and Dividend data has changed a few
times recently. Please report any problems in downloading data.
The decoder was updated as of this release. |

New Features
- A Linear Regression indicator was added to the Technical Analysis
menu.
- MACD and Stochastic components were added to the Technical Analysis
menu.
- A vertical line is displayed on the charts to show the location on
each timeframe.Bug Fixes
- Historical data used for charts was sometimes stored incorrectly.
This will correct itself on the first download.
- Earnings and dividends are now downloaded correctly after a website
changed their format.
- Corrected Custom Data Sources so they can download negative numbers.
- Greatly improved memory usage resulting in faster performance.
Known Problems
- There is an error on some computers in decoding the data file for
one of the indexes. Please provide a screen capture of this error, if
it occurs on your system. Also, provide the version of your
operating system, and the type of chip used by your computer (PowerPC,
Intel, Intel Duo). |

- Major update
This is to
advise you that a revised version of Stock WatchTower is now available and
contains important new updates. Please upgrade to Stock WatchTower 2.1 as
soon as possible. This version contains several critical bug fixes and was
also modified to comply with legal requirements. This upgrade is free, and
previous versions are no longer supported.
- Bug Fixes
- Historical data format sometimes resulted in a glitch on the stock
charts. Errors will be detected and corrected automatically on the
first update.
- Entering dates in Trading Journals is fixed
- New Features
- Trading Systems are now included in the Technical Analysis version.
Trading Systems allow users to backtest or forward test a set of trading
rules based on technical indicators.
- Performance statistics were added to Trading Journals.
- Mutual Funds and ETF's are now supported
- Indexes were added
- The Manual was extensively updated.
- Known bugs
- Some users are reporting error messages, such as "Portfolio Error,
symbol = Indexes.GCWL, file = _PSE, code = 4". Stock WatchTower
should update existing files to the new formats, but an error message
may occur. Perform a complete download updating the stock
information, and then see if the error persists.

This is a special release, please read the following carefully. -
This version corrects a problem with downloading chart data and corrects a problem with the program freezing.
These problems were caused by an update to the format of the website of one
of the data providers.
- Some features are not quite finished in order to release this
version to correct the downloading problems. Please report any bugs
that you find (see the Technical Support page for instructions on reporting
bugs).
- Backup your data before performing the installation. Your data
is located at: Home/Library/Application Support/Stock WatchTower.
Make a duplicate of this entire folder.
- New features are added, but not yet documented. These will
be finished and the manual updated in version 2.0.8. |
